TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Thanks to the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, Thrive Alliance has received $1.2 million in low-income tax credits to help the organization fund an apartment complex for seniors.
Thrive Alliance has partnered with Joneboros Investments to continue progress in the construction of the 64-unit affordable apartment complex which is set to be located at 801 North 25th Street in Terre Haute.
“We are pleased to have IHCDA provide funding to move this important project forward,” said Mark Lindenlaub, Thrive Alliance Executive Director. “This is a very exciting project for the Housing Services division of Thrive Alliance in being able to help address the need for affordable housing in communities throughout Indiana.”
Lindenlaub expressed appreciation for the cooperation of local officials in helping bring the project to fruition.
“City of Terre Haute elected officials, as well as our colleagues at Thrive West Central, have been greatly supportive of this project since its inception. We are pleased with the confidence they have shown in Thrive Alliance and our partners to bring this new housing unit to their community,” Lindenlaub said.
Starting 33 years ago, originally as Housing Partnerships in Columbus, Indiana, Thrive Alliance Housing Services oversees more than 100 affordable rental homes along with five multi-unit complexes throughout Columbus, Greensburg, and Seymour. The Heritage Landing apartments will be Thrive Alliance Housing Services’ first major affordable housing project outside of the organization’s typical service area.
