TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A westbound FedEx semi truck caught fire on the exit ramp at mile marker 11 from I-70 to SR 46. No injuries were reported.
The fire in the semi’s trailer began at 3:30 p.m. when truck blew out a tire. The driver continued to drive on the blown tire and the tire caught fire. The driver immediately uncoupled from the trailer, saving the truck. Only one trailer was destroyed in the fire.
Responding to the blaze were the Riley Fire Department, the Honey Creek Fire Department and the Indiana State Police.
