Celebrating 50 Years of Making a Difference
Founded in 1973, Catholic Charities Terre Haute has been a pillar of hope and support in our community for half a century. We are dedicated to nourishing the minds, bodies, and spirits of children, adults, families and seniors ensuring that nobody in our community is left behind. Our commitment to collaboration, compassion, and empowerment drives our wide range of programs and services.
Catholic Charities provides more than just assistance; we create hope. By collaborating with community partners, we deliver nourishing food, safe shelter, enriching youth programming, and vital human and household support to our neighbors, fostering a stronger and more resilient community for all.
We envision a community where every neighbor is empowered on their journey toward stability. By providing essential resources and ongoing support, we are working to break the cycle of need and help individuals and families build brighter futures.
Empowering Lives Through Comprehensive Support
In collaboration with Feeding America and 90 nonprofits, we are combatting food insecurity across west central Indiana. With Mobile Pantry Distributions, Bread & Produce Markets, TEFAP, EFSP/FEMA assistance, Weekend Sack lunches, and soup kitchen, we’re ensuring that families, seniors, and individuals have access to nutritious food.
Bethany House Emergency Shelter
Investing in the future, the Ryves Youth Center at Etling Hall offers a nurturing environment for children to learn, grow and thrive. Through mentoring, preschool, recreational activities, homework help, tutoring, and a fully-equipped Computer Lab, we’re helping young minds flourish.
