TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors announced Monday that CEO Nate Green has resigned to pursue his professional basketball officiating career.
His last day with the club will be Aug. 6.
“On behalf of the
Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club and the Board of Directors, I would like to
thank Nate for all he has done for our club,” said Dave Friedrich, president of
the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors. “We wish Nate all the
best as he advances his professional officiating career.”
I have immensely enjoyed my time with the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club. Working with the youth in our community is one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in my career. I will miss the kids and THBGC team as I pursue my professional goals in basketball officiating.”
Nate Green, CEO of the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club
Green joined the
Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club as CEO in August 2018. Under his leadership the
club has secured new and increased grant funding and more than doubled the For
Our Kids social media giving day fundraising effort.
“The THBGC has so
many great programs and an outstanding staff dedicated to our youth. By
increasing philanthropic support and other funding sources we are able to provide
more opportunities for the youth in our community,” said Green.
In addition, he
helped to reconnect the club with the Travis Smith Memorial Golf Outing, held
on Jun. 27. The outing raises money for club support and provides a scholarship
for the Youth Member of the Year award winner.
The Board of
Directors will begin a search for Greens replacement in the coming weeks.
