TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Tuesday was perfect weather for having some fun at the playground, and that’s exactly how some local children spent their day at the new playground at Memorial Preschool.
The playground expansion project was supported by donors and fundraising efforts. The project doubled the size of the playground, giving children more room to run, play and even ride their bikes. It also included new playground equipment.
Memorial Preschool’s Co-Director, Melissa Wilcox, said they’ve been wanting to do this project for several years.
“It is very much a dream come true. It’s been a lot of planning and a lot of stress, but to see it come to light has just been fantastic,” said Wilcox.
The preschool hoped to add more playground equipment in the future, so they are fundraising for that.
