CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A crash Monday afternoon involving a car and tractor sent two people to the hospital.
At approximately 2:10 p.m., Monday, Clay County Deputies responded to a crash on State Road 48 near the entrance of Shakamak State Park after a small passenger car attempted to overtake another vehicle and the tractor in a no-passing zone, according to Clay County Sheriff Brison Swearingen.
Swearingen said the tractor then turned left, causing the car to collide with the side of the tractor.
The driver and passenger of the car were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor was not injured.
