TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Terre Haute Police Department is currently investigating the death of a 93-year-old woman.
According to a news release from the Vigo County Coroner’s Office, the Terre Haute Police Department is investigating the death of Betty Ellinger, who died at a local facility after she was injured at another location.
According to the release, Ellinger was injured on April 21, 2025, at 9:21 a.m. but didn’t die until over a week later on April 29. The release also states that she was injured at 3500 Maple Avenue but died at the hospice.
The news release states that an autopsy was performed on the day Ellinger died, but that the cause of death is still pending.
