CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV)— UPDATE: According to the Clark County, IL E-911 Facebook page, all emergency and non-emergency lines are back up and running.
Clark County’s 911 system is currently down due to a Frontier fiber line being cut.
According to the Clark County, IL E-911 and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Facebook pages, non-emergency and 911 lines are currently down. This was originally reported on the Clark County, IL E-911 Facebook page around 9:15 a.m. on Monday, and Frontier presently has no estimated time of restoration. All emergency calls from the area are currently being rerouted to Crawford County. The post goes on to say that Crawford County has the capabilities to reach their dispatch and does not expect emergency operations to be abnormal.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for their patience and that they will update when more information becomes available. WTWO will update this article accordingly.
