LOOGOOTEE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Crews with Martin-Daviess County REMC are still working on restoring power to the area after a wave of severe thunderstorms and one tornado, ripped through the area.
National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in Daviess County just after 4:10 a.m. on Saturday.
As of 8 a.m. Monday, there are still 514 customers waiting for power to be restored, but they expect to see most customer’s power back on by the end of the day. Saturday morning, there were 700 outages REMC said it was working on.
“We ask again that if you were without power any the last two days but now have power, please leave your porch light on. This will help crews see who has power without having to get out and check meters.”
