TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of Megan Stone as their director of development.
Stone said she got the role through some internal networking, where she got in contact with leaders of the chamber of commerce.
She said a great connection has already been formed.
In this role, the chamber said Stone will be working with existing chamber members and strengthening their businesses and community impact, as well as recruiting new businesses to join the chamber.
Stone has been a member of the local community before and said she is looking forward to getting back in touch with Terre Haute.
“I actually left the Vigo County community for about 10 years and now I’m getting re-acclimated to the community”, Stone said. “I’m just excited to do things like get coffee with local businesses and individuals, then hopefully help them succeed in their business.”
To kick off her career at the chamber, Stone will join the spring cohort in West Central Indiana. This is the chamber’s onboarding program to new or returning members of the community.
