ROCHESTER, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Rosie Travioli made South Vermillion School History Friday by becoming the first female Wildcat to make it to the State Finals in girls wrestling.
On Friday, January 10, The South Vermillion Women’s Wrestling team traveled to Rochester High School for the Inaugural IHSAA Women’s Regional Wrestling Tournament.
During the tournament, Travioli went an impressive 4-1 and punched her ticket to the State Finals.
“Rosie is setting the standard for all future lady Wildcat wrestlers. This being the first year for Girls wrestling sanctioned by the IHSAA,” said Coach Ron Stateler.
The State Final will be held on January 17, at the Corteva Coliseum at the Indiana State Fair Ground in Indianapolis.
