JASPER CO., IL (WTWO/WAWV) – According to Jasper County Sheriff Brandon Francis, one person was injured in a shooting and one person was arrested.
The sheriff said shortly before 8:30 p.m. on December 18, his department responded to a 911 call near the intersection of Illinois highways 49 and 33. They found one man with a gunshot wound. Deputies and personnel with the Jasper Co. Ambulance service rendered aid to the shooting victim before he was taken to a hospital.
Another man at the scene was arrested. Sheriff Francis said that man remains in custody at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. The case is currently under investigation.
