TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Tuesday was a magical day for a number of local non-profit organizations.
The organizers of this year’s Miracle on 7th Street event presented checks to 9 organizations from the money raised during the festivities. The event kicked off with a parade and then continued with a vendors fair and other activities at the Hulman Center.
Twenty-three thousand dollars was raised from this year’s event, which is about $2,000 more from last year’s event.
“It means a lot to our whole team because it’s a chance to give back. But everyone on the committee already gives back. This is a very active committee and active in the community as well. It means a lot because it means a lot to a lot of people,” President of Miracle on 7th Street Terry Hogan said.
This was the 16th year for Miracle on 7th Street and Hogan said the planning for next year’s event is already starting.
