TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The rain didn’t stop the fun at the annual Winter Jubilee dance at the Terre Haute Children’s Muesum this weekend.
The event invites girls from 3 years old to 12 years old to participate, along with their dads, uncles, brothers, grandparents, and any other male role models in the young girls lives.
On Saturday night, attendees were able to explore the museum exhibits and participate in fun activities such as bath bomb making, decorating cookies, and there were even animals to pet.
Terre Haute Children’s Muesum Education Director Renee Henry says these events bring together local girls in the community and let them have fun with science.
“Not only do they get to do things like right on a limo, and have a meal together, dance together. But they also are reinforcing the girl’s ability to do science experiments,” said Renee Henry. “(They) are making bath bombs, and just lots of things.”
There was plenty of food, a limo ride, and lots of dancing on Saturday night.
And this annual event has happened for close to a decade with hopes to continue for many years to come.
