ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A 26-year-old convicted child molester was arrested Friday on charges of Child pornography.
According to court documents, at around 5:38 a parole officer with the Indiana Department of Corrections contacted the Rockville Police Department to let them know that they’d taken Montgomery III into custody on a parole warrant. Due to this, they were allowed to check his cell phone where they found evidence that violated parole.
The Probable Cause Affidavit said that they discovered Montgomery III had Google searches for suggestive images of 12-year-old girls and had a text conversation with a 17-year-old individual at a fast-food restaurant where they both worked and the two had exchanged nude photos. According to court documents, after speaking with the minor, the victim stated that she did know Mongomery III’s age and paroled charges and admitted to sending the photos.
According to a Facebook Post by the Rockville Police Department, John A. Montgomery III was taken into custody on December 13 thanks to an investigation by the Indiana Department of Corrections Division of Parole Services. He is currently being held at the Parke County Jail on a parole hold and two charges of child Pornography.
