TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo CEO Program is recruiting for the 2025/2026 school year.
Two of the students joined Jen and David Thursday morning on WTWO 6:30 Today to talk about the program as they encourage other high school students to apply. You can see the full interview at the top of the page.
These students receive 2 credits per semester while getting the chance to learn and have class in different spaces including local businesses. Its facilitator Teri Bennett said that these classes teach these students how to be professional and operate in the business world.
“A lot of them were shy, quirky, and a little backwards,” said Bennett. “Now they can go out and shake somebody’s hand with confidence, strike up a conversation, and pitch a business. They seem like they have really matured and grown in an incredible way.”
