TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – New home development is underway in Terre Haute through Thrive West Central’s Homes for the Future program.
Homes for the Future is an initiative that incentivizes homebuilders and developers to build homes in West Central Indiana.
Thrive West Central held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday morning for Southard Acres West, a new subdivision on the north side of Terre Haute.
Developed by builder Billy Southard of Southard Homes LLC, the project will include the construction of 17 single-family homes off Haythorne Avenue.
Thrive West Central also held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday afternoon for the Athletic Village of Gerstmeyer High.
This project is by builder Michael Adam Meyer with S&M Capital Group, LLC, and will add ten new rental homes at the corner of N 13th Street and Locust Street.
