Crews are currently working to repair a sinkhole near 23rd and Putnam streets in Terre Haute.
Lankford Excavating responded to the area around noon Thursday. They said the hole was created by a previously installed water line.
For now, the sinkhole has been filled with a sand mixture, and tomorrow, a final layer of concrete will be poured.
Barricades surround the area, but the street remains open.
