TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Not everyone gets to enjoy the day off. Police Officers are among the First Responders on the job Thursday.
We caught up with Senior Indiana State Police Trooper Brian Thomas. He said things have been a bit slower than a normal day because people are at their destinations celebrating with family and friends.
But Senior Trooper Thomas said he’s glad he can help others on days like today including an incident just this morning.
“On my way down here I actually helped somebody. Their transmission had gone out of their car. We tried to give them as much help as we could. They tried to give us a pumpkin roll to thanks me. We had to decline that so hopefully that’s the toughest decision I have to decide today.”
He reminds all of us that no matter when we’re traveling slow down and pay attention.
