HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Officials have confirmed a vehicle drove off the parking garage of Bally’s Casino in Evansville and crashed into a building nearby.
Officials confirmed that a vehicle drove off the Bally’s parking garage at around 8:30 a.m. on Monday and landed upside down in the Executive Conference Center on top of an escalator. A conference was taking place at the time.
Crews report that the driver was able to remove themself from the vehicle. The driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The casino remains open at this time.
Bally’s released the following statement in reference to the incident:
We are currently investigating an incident involving a vehicle that drove off the 7th floor of our parking garage and will provide updates as necessary. Upon initial review, the incident appears to be the result of driver error. There are no signage or structural issues with the parking garage. The safety of our guests and staff remains our top priority.
