MARSHALL, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Marshall Public Library, in partnership with the Clark County Historical Society, is thrilled to present a new traveling exhibit.
“All Aboard the Orphan Train!” is an exhibit that explores one of the most significant social movements in American history. It offers a unique opportunity for visitors to learn about the Orphan Train Movement, which operated from 1854 to 1929, and its profound impact on thousands of children across the United States.
This was made possible by a grant from the National Orphan Train Complex. Which is a museum and research center in Kansas, that is dedicated to the preservation of the stories and artifacts from the Orphan Train Movement.
This free exhibit is located in the library`s main room and is on display now through November 10. No registration is required.
