VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Veterans Day Parade is set to return on November 11.
This year marks the third year for the parade, and it will begin at 10 a.m. on Wabash Ave. from 4th St. to 12th St. There will also be an Armistice Ceremony after the parade at VFW Post 972 and a celebration there at noon. Terre Haute Marine Corps. League Commandant Randy Torrence says the event gives Vigo County citizens a chance to honor those who served.
“My personal experience the first time I was in it, when I walked out onto Wabash and to just see all the people lined up on Wabash showing their support, I mean it was just totally amazing.”
Torrence says that even if you are not signed up for the parade, come on down and they will put you in.
