TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A 7-year-old boy is making a big impact in the Terre Haute community with his very own fundraising efforts.
Bradly Warnock, a first grader at Sugar Creek Elementary School, has his very own gumball machine.
“I have a gumball machine and for a quarter you get two gumballs or for a quarter you get a bouncy ball,” said first grader, Bradly Warnock.
The past few weeks, Warnock has made over $100 with his gumball machine. And the best part, with all the money he has raised, he has donated it to a local organization in Terre Haute.
The Zorah Shriners Club of Terre Haute received the heartfelt donation from the 7-year-old and on Wednesday afternoon, the organization celebrated him as the youngest person to ever donate to the Shriners Club.
“We want to make this a really big thing for him, because this is a big thing for us,” said Steve Craig, Potentate of the Zorah Shriners Club Terre Haute. ” I mean any donation is great, but when it comes from a youngster, I can’t say it enough. We’re just making a big deal out of it because it just doesn’t happen every day.”
Warnock was presented with a Zorah Shriners Club certificate of appreciation and a pin for his donation efforts.
Outside of fundraising, Bradly loves Monster Trucks, Sonic, and weaves with his grandmother in his free time.
This Saturday November 9th, the local Zorah Shriners Club will be hosting their annual Fall Ceremonial dinner, where they will honor Bradly, and welcome new Shriner members. The dinner is open to the public beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
