DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Daviess County has announced an indefinite burn ban currently in effect according to a Facebook post by Daviess County’s Emergency Management Agency.
Daviess County is among the now 34 counties in Indiana under another burn ban due to the weeks of dry weather. This means no open burning is allowed including timber debris, leaves, vegetation, or building construction materials. Camp and recreational fires are allowed as long as they are contained in a burn ring or fire pit and are attended to. Burn barrels can also be used between dawn and dusk as long as they have a wire mesh screen with openings that are a quarter inch or smaller.
