GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Southern Indiana Development Commission along with many other partners held a meeting Thursday afternoon to discuss how to grow local housing opportunities.
The counties involved in this include Greene, Martin, Daviess, Sullivan, and Lawrence County because they center around NSA Crane and its over 6100 employees. This meeting was used to talk with people in Greene County about how they would go about adding more small-scale development in this area.
Principal of Myerson Consulting Deborah Myerson said getting multiple points of view on these situations often lead to the best outcomes.
“Between the data, information, building up the housing needs, as well as the training for the people that are interested in doing this type of development, we would like to bring those pieces together to really have a successful outcome for all of these communities throughout this five-county area,” said Myerson.
Myerson added that there will be a more hands on virtual meeting about this topic on November 12.
