CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV)— A jury trial in Crawford County Illinois is headed into day two of the Jason Strawbridge murder case from 2019.
Strawbridge originally pleaded guilty to murdering 62-year-old Sandra Kendall of Bellair, Illinois. He was originally sentenced to 45 years in prison. Now Strawbridge has requested that his original guilty plea be vacated and the Illinois Court of Appeals has granted that request and set a new trial.
As of Tuesday evening, the state is still presenting its case. WTWO will continue to follow the case.
