CLAY CITY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced a bridge will be temporarily closed which could affect those traveling on State Road 59.
INDOT announced in a news release, a temporary bridge closure just a mile north of Clay City over Connely Ditch beginning on or after October 7th. Crews will be conducting an in-depth evaluation of the structure and completing needed repairs. Work is anticipated to last until mid-December but is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
The official detour is set to be State Road 246 to State Road 159 and then on to State Road 46. INDOT encourages all drivers to use caution when traveling near work zones.
