BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A project is underway in Brazil that the mayor says will extend the life of some highly-traveled streets.
Mayor Brian Wyndham said over the next three to four weeks, crews will be working with a treatment called Liquid Road. He says it helps a roadway’s pavement last longer.
Mayor Wyndham explained the project will focus on Jackson and Depot Streets.
“People have been real good about working with us on it. It is an inconvenience, without a doubt, but it’s worth it at the end of the day, so we do appreciate everybody that’s showed a lot of patience who live on those streets and roads. It doesn’t go unnoticed, trust me,” the mayor said.
He added that the city received Community Crossings grant money to help pay for the project.
