TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A new breakfast and lunch location will be moving into town soon at the former Millions Crab restaurant location on the south side of Terre Haute.
The previous owner of many of the King Gyros locations, for around 35 years in Indiana, has decided to bring his newest venture to Terre Haute. Blueberry Hill Pancake House has been confirmed by area planning to be moving into the old location in front of Kohl’s. The new owner, Evangelo Tourloukis, said that the restaurant has 180 seats and will be open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. when they open, serving both breakfast and lunch options. Tourloukis said if everything goes well they are looking at an opening during the first week of October and will be hiring a staff of around 30 people.
Tourloukis now owns and operates five Blueberry Hill Pancake House locations in the state. The Greek-born restauranteur came to the U.S. when he was 15 years old and has made a career out of the restaurant business. He had originally eyed this location when it was Chili’s but said at the time that costs were too high. Now he’s excited to give the new spot a chance.
“I do like the location, I have a confidence for it,” Tourloukis said. “The town is good, its just if I get the right people, I think we are going to be very good.”
