CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Monday morning, the Clay County Commissioners approved the renovation and construction of two bridges.
The first bridge is located by Northview High School, and the second is in the southern part of the county by Eel River. Both of the roads where these bridges will be located are closed.
Clay County Commissioner Paul Sinders said both of these bridges are crucial to the quality of life in the county. He said that the community’s input on these situations helped target these problems better.
“If someone sees a problem with a culvert, ditch, or pothole that we have missed then we welcome input as that gives us an opportunity to address those concerns and get those fixed,” he said.
In light of the recent ransomware attack that shut down the courthouse from July 9 to July 22, the Commissioners also approved a contract for more security to the recorder’s office that will be located off-site in case of another attack.
