TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Terre Haute Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (THAMPO) is updating its plan for the future.
The third and final public meeting for the 2050 MTP is being held August 6 from 4-6 p.m. to discuss the coming feasible projects to improve transportation. The Metropolitan Transportation Plan is a long-term plan that helps guide the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the transportation network through Vigo County.
It is required by federal regulation that the MTP be reviewed and updated every 4-5 years and has to have at least a 20-year planning horizon. THAMPO is encouraging the public to show up to this final meeting and give comments. The meeting will be held at The Hub at the Hulman Building on 900 Wabash Avenue in the 2nd floor conference room. An online survey is also available and can be found here. All comments will be collected and reviewed for the future plan. If you have any questions you can contact the MPO at MPOStaff@terrehauteedc.com.
