TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — We have a busy weekend in store with plenty of events happening across the Wabash Valley.
We have compiled some local events that may interest you and your family this weekend.

Weekend Events: All Weekend
Bike-A-Palooza is happening this weekend at Griffin Bike Park.
The event will have activities all weekend long starting Friday with a short track race beginning at 6 p.m. and a movie night playing “Arthur the king” at Fowler Park. The movie begins at dusk.
Saturday and Sunday will feature a variety of races and “Two Pigs BBQ” will be there to feed those hungry riders.

Knox County is hosting their annual Watermelon Festival this weekend.
The festival kicks off Friday at 5 p.m. at George Rogers Clark National Historic Park and wraps up Saturday at 3 p.m. with the Miss Watermelon pageant. Celebrate summer with juicy watermelons and other food vendors, exciting activities, and live entertainment for the whole family!

Weekend Events: Saturday, August 3
Terre Haute Police Department is hosting its second annual THPD Block Party.
It’s happening Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at THPD headquarters.
There will be games, prizes, and food vendors. The first 500 kids will receive a free T-shirt. They’ll also have a foam party and a dunk tank with the mayor and chief of police in the hot seat. This event allows the community to interact with local officers in a more laid back environment.
