CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man was flown to Indianapolis for injuries sustained in a crash that left him “partially trapped” in his vehicle.
According to Clay County Sheriff Bryson Swearingen, the crash occurred on State Road 59 near the intersection with Barrett Drive on Monday.
Only one vehicle was involved in the incident. Sheriff Swearingen said the driver had to be removed from the vehicle by firefighters on scene before being flown by helicopter to Indianapolis due to the severity of his injuries.
No passengers were in the vehicle.
Swearingen said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
