VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— In the early hours of Wednesday Vincennes Police Department responded to someone being shot.
According to a police report, at 12:35 a.m. Vincennes Police Department went to the 1300 block of N 14 Street. They were told someone at the address had been shot. Dispatch was advised that the person had been shot by Calvin Wittmer and that he had fled the scene.
Officers, later located Wittmer at the 1600 block of Canbro Street. They surrounded the house and Wittmer surrendered.
He now faces a level one felony charge of murder. He was taken to Knox County Jail. WTWO will provide more information as it becomes available.
