TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Collett Park was the host of this year’s blueberry festival in Terre Haute.
The event allows residents to buy fresh, organic, blueberries or enjoy sweet treats.
The festival is a fundraising and awareness event for the Terre Foods Cooperative Market. They bring local and organic food to the Wabash Valley from neighboring companies.
The market received Covid-19 relief funding from the city council and is currently working to be a full-service grocery store in the 12 Points area. Terre Foods board member Angi Hansel says that progress on the building has begun.
“We’re continuing to make structural and roof renovations. Right now, we’re raising funds for all the stuff that we need to do to the building.”
