TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A motorcycle driver was taken to an Indianapolis hospital due to the severity of his injuries following a crash in Terre Haute.
According to Terre Haute Police, the incident occurred at 9:59 p.m. at the intersection of S. 3rd Street (U.S. 41) and Helen Avenue. A motorcycle collided with a passenger vehicle.
The motorcycle rider reportedly received serious injuries in the crash and was considered in critical condition while being transported to an area hospital. The injuries were so severe that soon after he was flown to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.
THPD Sgt. Justin Sears said the accident reconstruction team was dispatched to investigate the crash.
“Further information will be released as permitted,” Sears said. “Investigators are still reviewing information and interviewing participants as well as witnesses.”
