CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A popular organization brought back its ‘Big Cat Yoga’ event.
The Exotic Feline Rescue Center gave visitors the opportunity to do some yoga while being admired by tigers. The facility offers tours, but the yoga has become popular as well. Instructor Jaclynn Cooper says it gives people a chance to connect with nature.
“We usually see a lot of smiling faces,” she said. “I feel like everybody is super relaxed and the big thing is, I told them today before start is we really like when the big cats are kind of making noises and talking to each other throughout the practice. That’s a really cool added bonus and we got a lot of that action today so that was really cool.”
The yoga is followed by brunch and a tour. The experience provides the opportunity to relax in the presence of these incredible animals.
The facility is also home to a lion, panther, bobcat and many more exotic animals. For more information on tours and future events, check out their website.
