TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– The Wabash Valley Jeep Junkies held its 8th annual “Going topless for Pink” event to support breast cancer research Saturday.
Hundreds of jeeps participated, stopping by different businesses around the community throughout the day. There was an obstacle course at The Mill as well. It included kids activities and silent auctions, with all funds going towards Pink of Terre Haute.
Mike Latta, the President of the Jeep Junkies, said he is always happy to support those battling the cancer around the valley.
“They’ll get gas cards and you know gift certificates for food and hotel stays just anything that a survivor needs that maybe they’re facing the struggle,” he said.
Over the past seven years, the organization has raised more than $300,000 for breast cancer research.
