VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — We’re just days away from the Indiana primary and WTWO continues to hear from candidates about their visions for the community.
On Wednesday, Chris Switzer, incumbent in the Republican primary for Vigo County Commissioner in district two, shared some of his perspectives on the election.
Switzer said he has enjoyed being a commissioner and feel he puts in “110 percent effort.” He also noted Vigo County has come a long way with community initiatives and has become a tourist destination.
“Get them on the safe and successful route to successful employment to raise a good family here in Vigo County, so I’d like to see those things through,” Switzer said. “We’ve got some bigger capital projects coming countywide and just continue that path toward a more prosperous community.”
If re-elected, Switzer said he wants to continue to build up the community and bring in new economic development.
Indiana primary election is May 7.
