TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Ivy Tech kicks off its second annual homecoming week with an alumni breakfast on Wednesday.
The Breakfast with Chancellor Crooks event was held Wednesday morning at the Oakley Auditorium on campus.
Lea Anne Crooks is the Chancellor of Ivy Tech Terre Haute and she said that homecoming week is an opportunity to bring alumni back share details on what’s changed since they left and support them in their current endeavors.
“I think when we leave our institution, sometimes we get detached with all of the great things that are happening and it really just helps us re-engage those alumni to let them know where were headed and tell the Ivy Tech story a little better,” Crooks said.
Crooks also said there will be a movie night on campus for alumni and their families held from 8:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. this Friday, May 3.
There will also be a block party downtown this Saturday from noon to 3:00 p.m. on 8th Street, next to the Terre Haute Children’s Museum.
