HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Three people involved in a 2020 crime spree that stretched from Grayville, Illinois to Terre Haute, Indiana have been sentenced.
Amber Nunley, Steven Williams and Tangela Winemiller were arrested after police say they robbed or attempted to rob nine businesses across the two states in 2020. Authorities say Nunley and Williams committed the robberies and Winemiller acted as a “getaway driver” in the Terre Haute robberies.
Authorities say the crime spree began in November 22, when a woman wearing all black and holding a gun and a man walked into a convenience store in Casey, Illinois. A few days later, on November 27, the pair were seen robbing a business in Mt. Carmel and the Super 8 in Grayville.
Nunley was sentenced to 13 years in prison, Williams received 10 and a half years and Winemiller will serve 12 and a half years.
