SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It’s the day Sullivan FFA members have been looking forward to for a long time!
Students at Sullivan High School got to drive their tractors to school on Friday. They drove past the elementary school for all the kids there to see and then did a lap around the square. The event marks the end of National FFA week.
Carol Witt is the president of Sullivan FFA and she’s participated for several years with this being her final year taking part.
“It’s a little bittersweet that this chapter of my life is coming to an end but always so exciting to get to participate,” Witt said. “It’s such an exciting event and such a very Sullivan County event to celebrate the end of a great National FFA Week.”
Last year was the first time they decided to parade by the elementary school and the kids they really enjoyed seeing the tractors go by.
