TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State University has announced its Be So Bold campaign has successfully raised $100M in donations to the university.
“Surpassing the $100 million mark of the Be So BOLD campaign is a testament to our wonderful donors’ commitment and belief in the future of Indiana State University,” ISU President Dr. Deborah Curtis said. “I send my congratulations to the entire team at University Advancement on this significant achievement. However, this is just the beginning. The Be So BOLD campaign has launched ISU’s culture of philanthropy, and I am confident more success is on the horizon.”
According to a news release from ISU, Sycamore Alumnus and Philanthropist Don Dudine was the individual who’s second $1M donation pushed the university over the $100M threshold.
Dudine was reportedly instrumental to the launch of the school’s Student Philanthropy Organization in 2018.
“Indiana State University has always been a place of innovation, education, and
community,” said Dudine. “I am honored to be a part of this momentous occasion and
witness the collective impact of joyful giving for the University’s future.”
The university credits the Be So Bold campaign and its co-chairs Larry and Buffy Boulet as well as Paul and Susan Chaney for recruiting nearly 7,000 new donors and nearly 16,000 donors worldwide during the campaign.
Officials said throughout the Be So BOLD campaign, 124 new endowed funds were established, while 18 gifts of $1M or more were made.
Some of those who made a million-dollar-plus gift include Steve and Gloria Bailey, Don Dudine, EAC Product Development Solutions, ESKO Graphics, Magnet Forensics, Darwin McCallian, Jim and Sue Pajakowski, Rich and Robin Porter, Ken Smith, and Carolyn Steinbaugh.

ISU officials say this exciting milestone is not the end of the Be So BOLD campaign as it will continue until June 30, 2025. A video produced by the university regarding this announcement can be viewed on YouTube here.
