CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — UPDATE: Sgt. Matt Ames reported all lanes of I-70 westbound at MM 18 are now open.
Original story: Just hours after Interstate 70 westbound reopened fully following a semi-truck with a car hauler trailer on fire near mile marker 32, a second semi-truck has caught fire and caused the closure of westbound lanes near mile marker 18.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames confirmed the closure, and encourages drivers to seek alternative routes as crews work to clear the scene. While both westbound lanes were closed for a time, as of 2:15 p.m. one lane had been reopened to traffic.
Ames said the driver was uninjured in the incident.
