PARKE CO. Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– State officers are investigating after the body of a 31-year-old man was found in Rockville Lake on Sunday.
According to a release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Parke County 911 received a call that an adult male was missing in the water around 4:30 p.m. Witnesses were able to narrow down the search area, and conservation officer divers were able to recover the victim just after 5 p.m. in 14 feet of water.
Lifesaving efforts were taken and the victim was transported to Union Hospital in Clinton, where he was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending notification of the family.
Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death.
