VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Win Energy continues to try and restore all of their customer’s power in light of last Thursday’s storm.
Around 250 Win customers were still without power as of Wednesday afternoon. Officials say that there are still workers out working on these lines currently.
The chief operating officer of Win Energy REMC, Leslie Beard, says their plan is to change that very soon.
“The goal is having majority of our members power restored by midnight tonight, Wednesday.”
She also took a moment to thank and appreciate all the workers that have made all of this a possibility.
“Our employees and all of the crews that we have from throughout the state of Indiana, and we also have some crews here from Michigan, our contract crews, have all done a fantastic job. They continue to work hard around the clock for everybody. I couldn’t be more proud of the people we have, boots on the ground.”
