WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Thursday evenings storms have taken a big toll on the Wabash Valley.
Officials say there are still around 27 to 30 thousand people without power as of Saturday. However, this does not mean that there aren’t people trying to change this.
There are over 350 lineman that are and have been working to restore power in this area.
Vigo County Commissioner, Christopher Switzer, says that nothing will change, rain or shine.
“We are all on standby. We are all on the call ready to go out and clean off trees or whatever may happen from Saturday night’s storms.”
Officials also say that they will not stop trying to fix the powerlines unless there is lightning in the area. They will still be working if it is just rain showers.
We will keep everyone updated will all the latest power outage and weather news as the information comes in.
