EDGAR COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Celebrating a significant milestone of 200 years after its founding in 1823, Edgar County is hosting a Bicentennial Celebration from June 15 – 18.
There will be plenty of events for everyone to enjoy and participate in throughout the weekend. However, spots for certain events are limited, so be sure to regularly check the Edgar County Bicentennial Celebration event page for event flyers, links, or QR codes.
In addition to the celebration, the Edgar County Historical Society will be presenting Towns of Edgar County: Lost, Forgotten, and Then Some, on June 25 at 2:00 p.m. in which local historian Daniel Briseño will discuss the county’s 200-year experience exploring the towns of yesterday and today.
