LYFORD, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A single-vehicle crash left a vehicle rolled over and firefighters had to extract the driver from the wreckage before she was taken to a hospital.
That’s according to Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier, who said the crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Lafayette St. in Lyford at 6:11 p.m. on Monday.
Investigating deputies found a PT Cruiser driven by a Terre Haute woman left the roadway and rolled over. Frazier said the crash is believed to have been caused by a medical issue.
First responders had to extract the woman from the vehicle before she was taken by ambulance to Union Hospital for what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Assisting at the scene were Lyford Fire Department, Rosedale Fire Department, and Rockville Fire Department.
