TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana Air National Guard 181st Intelligence Wing out of Hulman Field’s Air National Guard Base in Terre Haute will operate a no-cost clinic as part of a training mission.
The clinic will be operated in partnership with other Air National Guard, Active-Duty Air Force, and Army Units as well as other local organizations.
The mission, known as IRT or Innovative Readiness Training, Hoosier Care, will provide free services including vision exams, single-vision eyeglasses, dental exams and extractions, and basic medical exams including youth sports physicals.
IRT is a Department of Defense Program that leverages military contributions and community resources. IRT Hoosier Care is designed to provide hands-on training to enhance military readiness, promote civilian-military partnerships to build stronger communities.
Military professionals from across the country will contribute personnel and training resources while community partners provide materials and basic services.
From June 7 until June 14 the public can receive no-cost care at the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club located at 924 N. 13th St. Terre Haute, IN 47807.

- Wednesday, June 14 | 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The 181st Intelligence Wing will receive hands on training to ensure readiness to support our local community and all of Indiana.
“The mission is for us to setup in a deployed environment, to train that way. If we deploy, we’re going to be setting up in a fixed facility for medical and this area is fantastic for that spot. And that’s why we chose this building. The Boys and Girls Club was gracious to host us here and hopefully we get a big community turnout, just based on the location, the area. We see it as a win, win,” James Hammock, Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge said.
